Belle Vue Restaurant Adelboden – where the sun shines in the evening

Always tasty, always fine, never heavy; a few words to sum up our regionally-inspired market cuisine. It is based on masterful skills and exceptional products that simply bring joy to the table, among them many fresh from the surrounding region. Sunny Mediterranean starters and mains complete the offer – which we are generally very happy to present as a vegetarian option. An open, natural cuisine which has been granted 14 points by «Gault Millau».

The Marché Menu reveals the kitchen's weakness for high-quality products, a bit of fantasy and tasty harmonies. Classics of French cuisine and Mediterranean fish dishes alternate with savoury «plats mijotés» from the brasserie and sunny Italian Primi or Secondi – which we are more than happy to make vegetarian.

We are more than happy to cater to your individual requirements, whether in regards to an intolerance of lactose, glucose, gluten or any other allergies. Our cooks are experienced in the preparation of special diets and are also happy to fulfil any other culinary wishes you may have.

The Chef and his style

Jürgen Willing was born in 1971 in Dülmen near Dusseldorf. Following the end of his training and many years of professional experience in traditional inns, he became fascinated with haute cuisine. He worked for 2 years in the restaurant of the Hotel Residence in Essen (2 Michelin stars). In Switzerland he earned his spurs at the Hotel Alpenhof in Zermatt (1 Michelin star) and in Hubli’s Landhaus restaurant in Davos (1 Michelin star). Since 2003 he has ruled our kitchen – with the support of sous-chef Peter Hari – and proves daily that, even in an uncomplicated market kitchen, exactitude and care are paramount. Jürgen Willing is never heavy, his cuisine is light yet spirited.

The «Belle Vue» restaurant with its bar and lounge is a place to enjoy. During the day it is flooded with light and gives the impression that nature is actually growing into the building. In the evenings, when it's dark, the space plays host to a sensual interplay of light and shadow. With the benefit of summery temperatures we move out to the garden.
