Winter hiking means the feeling of happiness stemming from a wide white landscape, mountain peaks, peace and sunshine, not to mention the exertion. The sound of the crunching snow will lull you into your own rhythm and allow you to experience nature more intensively than in any other sport. An extensive hiking network (also for fans of snowshoeing) stretches over 74 km. |

The 210 km ski area is divided into five smaller sections and has 72 modern high-performance lifts. Silleren-Hahnenmoos-Metsch is the largest section and the heart of the Adelboden-Lenk ski area. The extensive, easy to medium-level area is, thanks to the Masta Park, also a wonderful destination for snowboarders.

The Adelboden Alpine School, which assembles the local mountain guides, accompanies individuals into the mountains. The ski and snowshoe tours lead to Adelboden's beloved mountains, including the Bunderspitz, the Ammertenspitz, the Ritzgrat and the Wildstrubel. Fleckli and Bundergletti also provide a perfect area for beginners to train. |

Adelboden's cross-country ski area is small but of good quality. 8 km of tracks (skating and classical) with guaranteed snow are on the Engstligenalp, the 2000m plateau surrounded by mighty mountains. The track in Boden (11 km, skating and classical) offers completely different scenery over meadows and along the Engstligenbach. The peaceful Elsigenalp and its skating track (2 km) also offers a special sporting and nature experience. www.engstligenalp.ch |

Bavarian curling Bavarian curling, played as early as the 16th century, is simple – an exciting game can develop within a very short time. Four players form a team and stocks are thrown instead of stones. The entertaining sport can be practiced every Thursday evening in taster classes from 8:00pm to 9:30pm in the new sports arena.
Skibock The Skibock also offers an opportunity to try something new. This equipment – consisting of a shortened old ski with a wooden seat attached to the top – has shot from obscurity to cult status in Adelboden. It is primarily aimed at those with good balance and who love speed. Taster classes offer a chance to try it every Tuesday from 3:00pm to 5:30pm on the Tschentenalp.
Horn sled racing Every year: traditional "Horäschlittä-Rennä" can once again be experienced on Sunday, February 20. More than 100 two-man teams will steer their sleds at high speed from the Chuenisbärgli down into the valley. |
